"My girlfriend gets mad at me every once in a while, but it's not usually based on me doing anything weird." - Jimmy Kimmel, in OK Weekly, about his relationship with Sarah Silverman
Jimmy has made an error in pronoun case: he has used an objective pronoun before a gerund ("doing"). When a noun or pronoun precedes a gerund in a sentence, the noun or pronoun must be in the possessive form.
To correct the error, replace the objective first person singular pronoun "me" with the possessive first person singular pronoun "my."
"My girlfriend gets mad at me every once in a while, but it's not usually based on my doing anything weird."
