Fans of Beyoncé Knowles are so apoplectic over her video for "Deja Vu," which they consider to be "an underwhelming representation" of her talent, that they have organized a petition to entreat the star and her music company to shoot a new video for the song. The petition enumerates several points of contention, including a confusing story line, alarming and erratic dancing that features too much gyrating, and a dizzying and disorienting style of editing. The fans ascribe the quality of the video to its producer, Sophie Mueller, who they believe is not sufficiently "acclimated to urban themes and imagery in music videos."
