Paramount Pictures has resolved to sever its relationship with Tom Cruise because the actor "effectuates creative suicide and costs the company revenue" despite his prolific and successful career. The owner of the studio explained that Tom's recent behavior, including extemporizing about his love for Katie Holmes while jumping on a couch, pontificating about his views on psychiatry, and flaunting his idiosyncrasies, is not acceptable to the company and he will no longer be welcome on the studio's lots.
